Episode 19: Freedom In Christ

When one thinks of freedom, many things can come to mind. When we talk about freedom in Christ, we are NOT talking about a freedom to live however you desire to live. That’s not freedom. It is iniquity. Lawlessness. Doing what is right in your own eyes.

Freedom in Christ is yoking ourselves to the One who purchased us. It is living according to His name, His character. Walking the narrow path.

We have been set free by faith in Christ from being a slave to sin. Set free from obeying the various lusts and impulses of the flesh. Christians are enabled by grace to freely sell ourselves as slaves of righteousness. For to die to self and live for Christ is gain.

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. (Galatians 2:20)
