Episode 14: Press On To Know the Lord

On the day of Pentecost, the Apostle Peter quotes from Joel. The Scripture reference ends with,

And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Acts 2:21)

The prophet Joel and Apostle Peter when proclaiming this had something very different in mind than the culture today. The sinners prayer had no place in the mind of these men. Sackcloth and ashes, weeping and wailing, crying out to be saved. These themes would have been predominant in their minds.

Have you called upon the name of the Lord for salvation? Have you continued calling on the name to the Lord, just to know Him?
